COVID POLICY as of 11 January 2022:

To ensure the safety of all our members and staff, we'll continue to keep health and hygiene measures as a priority and ask that everyone plays their part to keep our dojo family healthy.

We expect all members to familiarise themselves with our adopted COVID-19 Safety Plan, please click here.

Vaccination Requirement
Given the nature of Karate as a contact sport, our COVID Policy continues to require all students 16 years and above to be fully vaccinated. We encourage everyone to receive their booster shots as soon as eligible.

Whilst we encourage parents to consider vaccinating their children, there is no mandate to do so at this stage. However, we ask that kids are dropped off and picked up by a fully vaccinated household member.

We have adopted a strict “GET-IN, TRAIN, GET-OUT” policy.
Parents are encouraged to ensure their children are dropped off and picked up in a timely manner to avoid additional people congregating in the dojo. As much as we understand that you may want to watch your little Karateka in action, parents dropping their children to class will not be permitted to stay inside the dojo.

No more that two people will be allowed in the change rooms at any stage. We encourage participants to come fully dressed to limit the use of the change rooms.

No handshaking, limited partner work.
Our training will continue to focus on developing speed, technique, fitness and stamina. Kata and syllabus will be emphasised. Where practical, students are to maintain a “1.5 mat” distance during training, contact is to be avoided whenever possible (this includes handshaking, hugging or any high fives).

Partner work and sparring will slowly be re-introduced. Students are reminded and expected to practise outstanding hand and body hygiene.

If equipment such as kick-pads and punching bags are used during training, they have to be wiped down with disinfectant before passing it on to the next person.

Hand sanitiser available for students, parents & instructors
You’ll find a hand sanitation station at the entrance. Please make sure you assist your child using it before they enter.

Increased cleaning throughout the day and a deep clean of the entire dojo on a regular basis.
We’ve always done this, but now more than ever we’re spending extra time to make sure our dojo is a safe training environment for everyone.

Trained team ready to go.
Our instructors have all completed the COVID Infection Control Training provided by the Australian Government and are ready to go!

Please always err on the side of caution and stay away if you feel unwell in any way, if anyone in your household or inner circle has tested positive, or if you have been asked to self-isolate.
