Sensei Nora has competed in Kyokushin at both national and international levels. She is a multiple-time National Kata Champion in both Australia and New Zealand, reflecting her exceptional technical skill and dedication. She also represented us at the International Friendship Tournament (IFT) in Tokyo, Japan, competing in both the 2023 and 2026 events.
She holds a lifelong impressive sporting track record; having competed at State and National level in Downhill Skiing, she was sponsored from the young age of 8 by ski-brand Blizzard. She also ran her own Personal Training and Sports Nutrition business for 5 years. As if these sporting achievements were not enough, Sensei Nora is an avid runner with a few sub-4 marathons under her belt!
She is mum to two of North Bondi dojo’s superstars: Nathan (nidan) and Samuel (shodan, black belt), and most importantly embodies the principles and ideals that we seek to promote at our dojo.
She is talented, tenacious and technically superb. With a friendly, respectful and engaging interpersonal style, she is a wonderful role model for our children and an inspiration to our adults.
Sensei Nora achieved her 3rd dan in Sydney, with the grading panel consisting of Kancho Matsui, Shihan Kenny, Shihan Gorai and Shihan Corrigal.
